RAD EXAMINATIONS - JULY 2024

Congratulations to everyone who has taken RAD Examinations in June and July 2024! 🩷💙
There was a 100% pass rate for all our ballerinas, from our youngest students taking their first ever ballet examination Level One Demonstration Class through to our Intermediate Ballet students progressing onto vocational training🎉
Miss Samantha is very proud of these fabulous results and looks forward to presenting the results, comment sheets, certificates and medals🥇 😊

IDTA EXAMINATIONS - JULY 2024

Congratulations to everyone who has taken IDTA Examinations in July 2024! 🩷💙
There was a 100% pass rate for all Rosette and Stardance Awards in Tap, Gymnastics Acrobatic Dance, Contemporary Modern Jazz, and Musical Theatre 🎉 Everyone that took Graded Examinations achieved Merit or Distinction, and there was also Honours marks awarded! (the highest recognition by the IDTA) 🎉
Miss Samantha is extremely proud of these wonderful results and looks forward to presenting the rosettes, medals, plaques and certificates once our new exciting term starts🥇 😊

SWAN LAKE THEATRE TRIP & ENGLISH NATIONAL BALLET WORKSHOP - APRIL 2024

SBSD students and their families went on a very special trip to London. They enjoyed watching Swan Lake: My First Ballet at The Peacock Theatre, before taking part in a fantastic dance workshop at the prestigious ENB studios with the English National Ballet Company. The exclusive workshop included learning ballet steps and creative choreography, trying on Ballerina Tutu Costumes and Shoes, and meeting and speaking with Professional Ballerinas and Company Members.

BLAIN MERRISON DANCE FESTIVAL - APRIL 2024

Wow, what a way to start SBSD's first festival....

I am very proud to say out of all the schools that took part in Blain Merrison Festival 2024, Samantha Boyd School of Dance came 2nd overall. We have been awarded the runner up School Awards Trophy This is such an amazing achievement being our first festival. Congratulations to us all, and thank-you to everyone for making this possible.

FESTIVAL STUDIO PERFORMANCE - APRIL 2024

In preparation for their first dance competition, our wonderful festival performers gave a fabulous studio performance to a huge audience at SBSD studio. Their hard work in classes and in private lessons most certainly showed, and we are so proud of every performer.
